Night Walk 2005
When was the last time that you were part of something for the
first time?
There is always a historic edge if the program is a success.
Years from now you can say: 'I remember when the first LIONS
"Walk in the Dark" was held and I was a part of it.'
Why would you want to be part of this Lombard Lions Project?
Sorry , you're the only one that can answer that question?
How can you be a part of the project? You can be a walker or you
can pledge money for one of your fellow Lombard Lions who will
be walking on Sunday Night, June 5, 2005.
The project raises funds for programs such as "Camp Lions" and
the "Hearing and Vision screening Bus" as well our local club
projects.
When you watch the news on June 6th, rest assured that when they
show the Lions Clubs and Volunteers from District 1J as they
light up the Darkness for 3 miles, the Lombard Lions Club will
be represented.
Any one who has a relative or friend who is blind or impaired so
they cannot walk needs no explanation why this project is a
worthwhile consideration. Walking for your favorite charity has
been around for over a decade. Though I have donated to numerous
walk-a-thons, just as many of you have, this walk will be the
first one in which I am an active participant.
Please join us in person, or join us in spirit by forwarding
your tax deductible contribution. Checks should be made out to
the Lions Of Illinois Foundations, a 501c3 entity.
The First Lombard Lion to raise $1000 in pledges or donations
will receive their award on Awards night.
